The B Series of 230V/15 Amp subsea connectors feature an extended connector body, designed for easier handling in difficult mating situations. The series is available with 2, 3 or 4 contacts and a maximum pressure rating of 20,000 psi. The connectors have 16 AWG conductors and are supplied with SO neoprene cables.
The unique connector design allows water to be expelled through a vent hole when connectors are mated. A wiping action of the male pin ensures electrical connections are made in a dry environment. This means the connectors can be mated or un-mated (in de-energised conditions) in almost any environment, at almost any depth. These are the only true diver-mate underwater connectors available
We stock the corresponding range of 230 volt/15 Amp rated B series bulkheads.
For situations where mated connectors may be under mechanical stress, optional locking sleeves are available to maintain good electrical contact. For B series connectors, the LSB series locking sleeve may be fitted to the cable prior to installation or retro-fitted. For product compatibility, see product matrix.
The subsea connectors use a proven water expulsion mating process achieving ratings of up to 20,000 psi. Electrical power must be off before connecting or separating any of these products.
All dimensions are nominal.
Maintenance and lubrication of subsea connectors is important to ensure reliable connections and long connector life.
