Mechanical Shrinkage Joints: Python 138kV and Python 230kV
The Python joints, available in 138kV or 230kV, utilise state-of-the-art shrink technology to achieve a very cost-effective high voltage joint solution. They offer maximum reliability and ease of installation for XLPE and EPR cable.
The joint is very easy to assemble, with no specialised tooling required. It can be supplied with the following options for outer protection: heat shrink tubing, sealed copper housing or a GRP coffin.

- Meets IEEE 48 and IEC 60840 specifications
- Range taking for copper and aluminium conductors from 400-1000 mm² with an insulation diameter of 60-94mm
Technical features (240kV)
- Meets IEC 62067 specifications.
- Range taking for copper and aluminium conductors from 400-2500 mm² with an insulation diameter of 82-117mm
